Cloud - My new african grey ☆

I just got my Cloud today. She still scarced of us but I think will settle down in a week. She 1 yr plus and can whistle and say hello and make some funny noise.

Its great to learn continuously from this forum from many sharings by many bird lovers :)

yea, they will take time and settle, and then a naughty mind will come out.

My grey is of bigger size type and also he is louder too

Great looking bird! Congrats!:) Everyday life with a grey is quite interesting you'll love it.

Cloud does not seem to get wet after bathing? We enjoy our sessions anyway!

Lol, don't worry a out the not getting wet part. Grays have a ton of dust making them pretty water proof, the water rolls right off with old feather dust. You really have to drench them to get then wet.

Is that a travel cage or is it the angle of the photo but that cage looks like it's only a foot wide? Your grey needs a much larger cage than that.

I looking out for big cage to pamper cloud. I still have not hear cloud speak but she whistle a lot. I am so excited to hear the first word.

How long will it take?

Congrats. What a great name. Many Greys will only speak once they are extremely confident. You may hear Cloud mumbling to herself as she practices her words. Give her time and talk to her often. Lintini is correct, definitely get Cloud a much bigger cage as soon as possible - and lots of toys :)

Cloud is now more comfortable with me for meal time! We are enjoying our time together more!
