I brought Tamara (a CAG) from a couple who are moving and no longer have the space for her, the cage she is in is far to small and terribly made. All the doors are easy to open and none seem to have any locking devises except the cable ties they have been using. Was just wondering if anyone can give me a name for a really good cage for her. I want a cage that's going to last and one that has the right amount of space for her. The cage she's in at the moment if she spreads her wings she nearly touches each side! I was looking at the Montana hiati cage online and wondered if that would be suitable? Thanks joe.

I'd say this would be the smallest for a CAG-

[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Prevue-Products-Wrought-F040-31-Inch/dp/B00176F5L0/ref=sr_1_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1379103415&sr=1-1&keywords=Bird+cage]Amazon.com: Prevue Pet Products Wrought Iron Flight Cage with Stand F040 Black Bird Cage, 31-Inch by 20-1/2-Inch by 53-Inch: Pet Supplies[/ame]

This one's a bit better.

And even then it is likely too small. I'm wondering if Price is an issue?

But really an ideal cage is 3' x 2' x 3' - What are the dimensions of the cage your CAG is in?

The cage she is in atm is about 2x2 by 3foot high it is literally falling apart as well, I'm not looking for the smallest just one where shenhas enough room to have a stretch about in. She will be out for long periods each day but while I'm at work 9-5 I want her to have space.

Then perhaps go for a small Cockatoo cage?

3lx3wx4.5 feet high would be better after all Bigger is better in this situation.. just have to be careful of the bar spacing ... .75-1" is the max on that.

With any bird bigger is always better... well MOST birds.

But in that my birds are odd x.x

I'm the same way. I like big cages for the few hours my birds are in them. I ended up going with a macaw cage for my soon to be CAG. Yes, it's overkill but I got an amazing deal on it (see Cages forum) and she'll have more room than she knows what to do with.

Kings cages are some of the best.
I also like Island cages, but they're kinda hard to find.
Another one is AE cages, however, their sizing runs small, so I'd opt for a cockatoo cage with them.

How much are you looking to spend on one? That would help me better guide you.
