This has been in the works for a while now, and I'm too excited to keep it to myself any longer! Tomorrow we are going to pick up a new baby green cheek! It's coming from the same breeder as Rio, same parents too, so it will be a sibling. It's going to be 8 weeks old tomorrow. I'm so excited! The house has been much too quiet! I will post pics when we get him/her home tomorrow. The breeder seems to think its a male (by the pelvic bones), but we will be dna'ing to be sure. Right now I'm baking a big tray of birdie bread to take with us for the breeders birds.

Oh boy another little green birdie on the forum. I have learned how they think they are the big boy of the house. Cricket actually attacked my kitty! He has no fear of anything!!!

Thanks everybody! We are on our way home with baby bird now! He's snoozing in his carrier. I will take pics when we get home.

Here he/she is!! I think we're going to name him/her River. (Rio means river in portuguese and spanish)

Im so jealous, I think maybe I should forgo my dream of getting a TAG and just get a conure. they have them up here, for 4 to 6 hundred. but Id rather get a TAG if I am going to spend that kind of money.

I mailed the dna test on the way home from the breeder, so just a few days til I know if I should be saying "good girl" or "good boy" lol. Breeder thinks its a male based on pelvic bone size, I'm really curious to find out if she's right.
