Sully-2 year old cinnamon and Bella-3 year old normal
breeding pair of gcc, Scooter & BeeBee-Sully and Bella's normal son's, Rosey- Bella and Sully's cinnamon daughter, Ella & Sunny-American budgies
I found that from the first mating it takes about a week to ten days before you get an egg. Then after the first egg you should get one again 24 hours from the next mating and so on.

~Alexandrine Parakeet~2 Red Lored Amazons~Blue Fronted Amazon~Black capped conure~4 Green Cheeks~4 Parrotlets~2 lineolated parakeets~9 American budgies~9 English budgies~ And lots of babies :)
They should lay around 10 days after they mate but that can vary a bit. Glad to hear you have someone knowledgeable to help you handfeed and raise the babies. It's a big job but very worth it!

Have you had an experienced handfeeder show you how to handfeed? If not you should really do that, it will ease your worrying once you have hands on experience. And watching all the handfeeding videos on youtube helps too.

i had a baby gcc that I finished hand feeding (sadly he followed me out the door never to be seen again) So I have done a little hand feeding but not from start to finish. I have done alot of reading and watching videos, but watching and doing is total different.

If you haven't fed a 2 week old you really need to before you start breeding it is totally different than a 7 week old.

Have to agree with that. I did not feed my BCC until she was like 8 weeks old.

Can your friend let you start with babies he has so you can get experience on the young ones first with him there to guide you?
