I put out my finger, he/she jumps up and climbs up and right in my shirt! I can do housework, go for a walk, etc. literally for hours and he/she will just hang out there! Inside mostly but pokes his head out if something seems interesting and then right back in! Such a character - the other day we all were laughing because my niece was wondering why my shirt was squawking - lol

SO CUTE!!!! I am smiling just looking at him! My Fiji likes to snuggle in my hubby's shirt like that too. Maybe they like all that cozy chest hair, lol!

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)
That is what I like to call "The Conure Spot."

This believe it or not, is normal...

My 1 year and 2 month old JC..twitter also trying same with me but I have stooped him/her (no DNA test yet)(I would like to allow twitter but..) As I have read some where that snuggle will encourage hormonal behaviour...
Do you have any Idea regarding that.. should I allow or discourage same...

I call B.S. on that one!!! Petting their butt feathers will, but just sitting insde your shirt won't. It's like shouldering a bird. As long as the bird behaves in there I don't see a problem with it. If anything, it makes them that much more tame and bonded... Papaya practically lived inside my shirt for 12 years, and he was the best behaved little conure you ever met!

Somewhere I've got a picture of my little 3 headed monster - i.e. all three of my little conures in there at once...

To me it's just a normal conure preferred snuggle spot. Every conure I've ever owned or fostered has done this. Including the Patty...

Another sign that Conures and macaws are closely related. My great big Bolivian GREENWING once climbed up my shirt and tried this, but her head didn't really fit through the neck all that well... my head was in the way. :D

Sun Conure
I just got a baby sun conure about a week ago and that seems to be his ABSOLUTE FAVORITE thing to do! I try to get him to play or even come out for a treat... but alas, his only wish is to be cuddled up inside my hoodie! lol. But he seems to be happy there so I pretty much leave him alone. :)

That's great! Sometimes it could be a little overwhelming they're almost annoying that they want to spend time with you so much and when you want your alone time but it's always worth it he never bothers he's always just content to hang out with you although when I play my bass sometimes he tries to grab the strings and interrupt my song but that's okay- lol he/she's 11 months old now and just gets better all the time!
Last Saturday, I cleaned out the garage and laundry room for almost 10 hours and other than to squawk when he had to go to the bathroom or wanted a peanut the rest of the day he spent right there inside my shirt!!
