Hi guys! I'm new to this forum, and came here to ask for advice and share some things about my baby *conure* Ruby. This morning, I put the cage on the back porch, and my neighbours threw a ball over and it hit Ruby's cage! I ran out and she had taken off. I ran frantically for about and hour, when finally she flew done with some nectar on her beak. Luckily I had been training her for flight recall (so she's safer while wearing her harness). I don't think she would have come back with it. Now, after this experience is over, I love her 10x as much.
My question is, her cage broke and we don't have enough money currently for a new one. Pet insurance doesn't cover cage breakages sadly. If I keep her in a small travel cage in my room for a week or two will it be okay? She's currently in her old broken cage inside the house. The travel cage is about 20cm-30cm-30cm. Thanks!
