I have had Limon for about 3 weeks now and he is now 6 months old. He enjoys being scratched on the head, nibbling my ear, and cuddling up next to my hair . I have recently been trying to get him comfortable with my hands so that he can lay down on my hands. He was being very reluctant when i would bring my palm near him to do some training exercises and eventually would run away to my other shoulder. Is there any way I can get him to trust my hand more? Or is it a problem of how I approach him? I really want to gain trust with him and I do not want any bad training to deter him from a good relationship.:gcc:

How is he doing with stepping up in general. I would not worry about any kind of laying until he is consistent with stepping up.

If he is stepping up already:
I recommend limiting back touching in general, but for training to go on his back, I have seen success with only tipping him back slightly with your hand close to his back. Each time he tolerates it, reward with a treat. Gradually tip him more and more. This process can easily take weeks, but again it should only be done if he trusts your hands for taking food and stepping up.

At the moment he is great at stepping up. It took him about two days to learn the movement and he perfected it over the course of two weeks. I will try your way and see if it works! Thank you so much.

Laying on their back takes a lot of trust on the bird's end and 3 weeks is probably premature. Plus, most birds do not like being touched in that area since it is... ahem, a more sexual area to touch them.
