Is there a brand that everyone here seems to think is the best or most accepted by sun conures? Ive seen many on the market and I was wondering if one is better than the other or more nutritious.

Many people recommend Harrisons as the best. Sometimes birds turn their beaks up at it though. All 4 of mine did. My birds like Roudybush and PrettyBird Natural Gold. I really like the PB. It is a favorite on many forums too. Try to stay away from artificially colored foods.

I do not know about a sunnie buy my grey loves Harrisons and it is usually what the avan vets suggest. It really depends on what your standards are for your bird, how much you are willing to spend and which one your bird will eat.

Nicky (sun conure); RIP Gracie (senegal) and Benson (cockatiel)
Today I just bought my sun conure and senegal a bag of zupreem natural diet. I have read on many forums that it is good if you can't afford harrison's. I have tried converting my sunny to pellets about a year ago because he just picks out what he wants in a seed diet and he's not getting the nutrition he needs but he just refused to eat the pellets. I even followed the directions on the bag for slowly converting to the pellets and it guaranteed to work for even the most "difficult bird". I am trying again this time and it's a different brand so let's keep our fingers crossed.

My sunny was a pain lol!

She hated zupreem and I had her on kaytee exact rainbow as although it's not the best, it's better than seeds! She has been on it for about 6 months and last week I managed to purchase Harrisons Super Fine. It is millet seed sized. I didn't hold out much hope, but what do you know? Munching away like a good un!

I'm very pleased indeed! I think it's a case of finding the right brand. Bit like a cat or a dog I think. My puss wouldn't touch whiskas if I promised her a whole chicken lol. None of the range at all!
