Ok, I have one male Eclectus and he likes sweet potatoes, can anyone tell me how to make and keep sweet potatoe because we don't use a whole one at a time & I don't want to waste them.

Other than cooking the whole thing, and individually freezing cooked portions, there's really no good way to save them. Once you cut into a potato, its clock is ticking.

I suggest you develop a taste for sweet potatoes yourself. They're really quite tasty, and good for you as well.

hey there all i do is peel it cut it into chunks cook it then lay the pieces flat in a snap lock bag and freeze it, or if you want it mashed just put it into a freezersafe container, i do this with carrot and zuchini also. i made her a treat the other day i put rock melon and mixed berries into the vitamiser she loves it, i just froze the rest of it into a ice cube tray. i freeze everything.. tin 4 been mix freezes fine and i cut capsicum and freeze it too

I cook up a big batch, mash, add cinnamon and freeze in containers. I take out one container at a time and keep it in the fridge. I always microwave for a few seconds before giving it to the birds. They love it warm.

We do like everyone says. We cook them then freeze them for later use. Sometimes we eat them too and they get them made fresh. :)
