As he gets older will his beak loose the black? He was on a bad diet in the pet store we found him in but we are introducing fruits and vegetables and he's slowly starting to enjoy them and try new ones.

Yes, as he matures, his beak will change to a bright yellow. He is a gorgeous boy. I love eclectus...too bad I'm at my parrot limit.

Every time I see electus I like them more and more and cb looks amazing I like the red ring around his neck

wow he is so beautiful. I have never seen an eclectus with such red colouring around the neck. Do you know what subspecies/mutation he is? Its a very beautiful and striking colour pattern.

As far as i know it is just a random mutation... we go to the vet wednesday and hopefully he can tell me more.

Charlie is gooorrrgeeeeous!

I adore ekkies, stemmed originally from our Eddie who owns Aussie Ben! :D

They are such beautiful birds, just like little cartoons!

Can't wait to hear some more about him.

The vet has never seen one with markings like his.... She said that he may loose the red as he gets older or that its possible he's hybrid?... she is going to do more research on it and let me know.
