playing in water, then sneezing

my female eclectus plays in her water, dunks her hole head in then sneezes for awhile is this normal she has had sinus problems in the past but she is not sick so could anyone let me know if there eclectus does this?

I don't know about eclectus, but my green cheek does this. I think its pretty common as they like to putter around in the water and then have to sneeze to get it back out.

lol nut does this, she'll literally dunk her head in water, and sneeze some out through her nose, funny to watch but not when your close

I would rather be safe than sorry and have it seen to.

Nostrils, sneezing, discharge, dirty feathers above the nostrils are an indication of a sinus problem. Many birds can also get dirty nostrils from nutritional deficiency or stress. Viral bacteria or fungus infections can also be related to sinus infection.

good point aintonette

i have looked for discarge etc, but nut only does this if i've put her in cage and sat/stood near her water bowl? i think its her way of spitting water at me?? but she does it as well when bathing

Always best to be very aware.
When showering Mishka this morning, we had a good giggle, OMG he sneezed about 7 times, never ever happened before.

lol probly does sneeze its just i brought it to you attention, i think our bird does it for attention shes worked out from when she was really sick that when she sneezed we would get her out of her cage so now its a fake sneeze hallf the time she only sneezes bad when water is up her nostrils

Nope first time ever, when he began to sneeze, he actually hit his beak on the side of the bath, it happened about 7 times, my son Sean and his girlfriend came it to see what the noise was
