She sounds exactly like Keke! Wow! She is 16 months of age and has been with us since 01 July 2020 I will try to figure out how to upload a video of her chatting.

It’s cute!

Parker does something thing pretty similar. We call it his CB radio talk. He has a great, clear vocabulary. But he occasionally launches into incoherent jibberish that sounds like CB/ham radio.

Btw: start throwing treats at her for talking. Many ekkies become closer talkers, talking only when people are out of sight as a means to get to you keep it coming back. Rewarding in situations like this 1) ensures she continues to talk in your presence, and 2) allows you, if you so wish, to put this on cue - that she offers this up so freely makes this the perfect opportunity.

Awwww, that's some pretty cute baby babble you got goin' on there Princess Paprika

Basil makes a noise like then when I put him up on the shower door. He will grunt or moan like that. Paprika this afternoon was sitting on my shoulder doing her noises. It’s clear she is talking when she’s close up as I heard her say Paprika in three distinct syllables.

One thing I have noticed about both her and Basil. They seem to like the sound of the shower. Maybe not getting in there so much, but it seems to make them want to talk more. Basil loves an occasional shower, spreading his wings and running through the stream. Mostly I just mist him now with a spray bottle. But even so, he talks and whistles when the shower is on.

If you want Paprika to babble a lot, all I have to do is put her on the shower door frame and turn on the shower. Within minutes she will just start going and going with the jabbering.
