Worth a vet trip?

Beaker: Cape Parrot
I live in the northeast so around this time of year, it's completely dark around 6PM when I get home from work. As such, Beaker is usually sound asleep, and when I flick the lights on, it usually takes him just 1 minute to fully wake-up and become lively.

Well, today I came home and he was in a different spot than usual. He was sitting on my nightstand, sleeping. I don't know if he fell there or flew there, but he never normally goes down to anything that low. Also, it took him like 5 minutes or more to wake up.

I also heard his tummy rumbling, but then he took a big dump and I have not heard rumbling since.

He seems OK now. I pressed various points all over his body to see if he was sensitive and he did not show any signs of pain. He has since eaten some fresh food, and he made a short flight over to his coconut and back, to see if any almond slivers had appeared in there. Right now he's trying to sleep except for me disturbing him with photos.

Do you think he is OK, or if not, do you think it's worth visiting a vet?

Maybe he just had a little tummy-ache - something that happens to all of us once in a while. Considering he's eating and flying, I'd just keep a close eye on him to make sure he's ok. This is exactly why I'm trying to find a good Avian vet so that when/if I do have a problem with any of my birds I won't be panicking trying to find a vet - does anybody know of a good Avian vet in the greater Pittsburgh area?

I agree, I would wait till tomorrow morning so I could check how he is doing in the morning light. If he is checking for food and flying, he is OK most likely.
P.S. He is a beautiful parrot.

They can be a little off one day to the next just like us. The fact that he doesn't seem to have a specific place to feel safe is concerning. You said he was on your nightstand, but that's not his usual place. Also, since it gets dark and he goes where he wants I'd recommend some sort of light be left on for him.

Thanks for all your suggestions and comments. I think he must have had a stomach ache or something yesterday, but it appears he's back to his normal self today.

Goalerjones, that's a good idea. I'll leave a night-light on for now on. He does have a place to feel safe. He normally likes to be on the perch in front of the window, or on his cage.
