Vomiting or Regurgitating how to tell?

So my 8 month old white capped pi, Fonzie is acting normal, playing, eating, drinking etc, but he was just chewing on my gold ring and I felt this warm liquid go down my finger. It was an orangish liquid (he ate come carrots today), no food substance at all, just a clear liquid. I did not see him head bob prior. Seemed like it just came out. Sometimes when he gets excited he head bobs and then regurgitates a bit of food into his mouth and eats it again. But this time it actually ran down my finger. Is this normal, or should I be worried? I'm an ICU nurse so I can't help but think something is wrong, except he acts totally normal. Just he just "love" my ring? He chews on it every chance he gets. :green2:

P.S. This is my first parrot since I was a kid and had a budgie.

If he's acting normal now I think he was just expressing love for your ring, as long as you say he's enamored with it on a good day!

Yeah, I had the last two days off from work so he has had two full days of out of cage time and 10-12hrs of sleep. He has been acting totally normal. Today he ate his fresh sprouted breakfast, some pellets, then moved onto his gym and played, preened, got a bath, preened, spent some time outside today (is 78F here), then played some more, then crawled onto my computer, and played with my ring while I was surfing the web, then puked on me, then played and ate more, then screamed at me from the cage door while I was in the kitchen, now preening again! Tough day.

I just didn't know they puked liquid like that.

And yes, he goes for my ring at least everyday.
