Green Cheek Conure (Name: Climber, he climbs everything :3)
Blue Cinnamon Conure (he looks like a kiwi, so his name is Kiwi :3)
Painted Conure (Name: Rainbow! :3)
I'm not sure if this has been answered before. But, I spend most of my time on the computer and mobile. My parrot is also usually nearby me perching while I feed it. Is there a possibility that their eyesight may have an issue in the future like humans do?

This is pretty interesting...
As a new parrot owner, I have barely any knowledge of what my parrot may be saying at times. This really helps, thanks!
However, this is somewhat different for all parrots right?
I have a GCC, not really sure how to tell any difference between it's colors though.

I am not sure this answers the OP's original question, entirely. I have learned that where we have 3 cones in our eyeball, parrots have them too, plus one we don't have. The 4th cone let's them see into the ultraviolet range, so they actually see more than we do. yes, it sounds odd but there it is. They communicate by sight and bird call; a large part of their sight is for feather color and placement and body language. One reason stick/clicker training works so well is they know they're on the same page as their teacher. jh

If the OP question is do parrots eyesight start to go when they reach advanced age, I am pretty sure that has not been studied. As far as "watching too much TV' like parents said to the kids in the 50s and 60s, also unknown. Old style TV tubes used a different picture realization. Modern flat panel TVs are 100% different and parrots have no problem seeing images and relating to them when displayed on flat panel screens.

I normally like to provide sources for things I've read, but will say that I've always felt occasional direct sunlight and good nutrition aid in the maintenance and performance of most bodily parts.
