Perches out of floor lamps

Someone posted recently that they make perches out of floor lamps.
I would love to see pics and ideas of what type of floor lamps (safety reasons) you are making. Can't remember who posted it.

That was me. I'm out of state right now,but maybe i can get my wife to post some pics. They are easy to make (LOL for me anyway). Use lamps with heavy base or old umbrella stands. Some times you have to be creative to attach the perches but i remove most everything from the lamp except the upright pole.I use large enough branches or tops that i can drill a hole the same dia. as the upright pole.I then split the perch though the hole and use "hose clamps" to clamp the perch to the pole. The split will allow the branch to slide over the hole and allow the hose clamps to close up on the pole.

Oh well thanks for the reply. Would love to see pics. What I really need is a heavy patio umbrella stand. I had an extra floor lamp but don't think it is heavy enough. I am always trying to find ideas to make things.
