Going to my daughter's house tomorrow for the delivery of my new "grandfid) her name is Mango. She is a 6-year old CAG.

Sitting with the grand kids, impatiently waiting for the arrival of their new fid. Just over an hour til her arrival. (I'm more excited than they are.)

Mango is now in her new home (pictures to follow). She's eating, making some interesting noises, but not yet interested in coming out of the cage. It will take some time and patience.

my daughter's German Short Haired Pointer is much more interested in the new bird than the new bird is interested in the BIRD DOG! O-o

My daughter sat in front of the cage, opened her cage and ate an apple while talking to her. Mango took the last bite and ended up on her shoulder and getting hugs from her new mommy!

Mango has only had one owner in six years, for her to be dropped off in a new house with 3 kids, a dog and a cat and open up this quickly ... this is one amazing bird.

Apparently Mango should be the perfect candidate for food bribed training ... this is one food driven bird!

She gets up in the morning and says "I want watermelon" (or kiwi or cherries).

My son stays at his sister's house several nights during the week. Last night he was walking around the house with Mango on his shoulder. While eating a slice of pizze she literally pulled a piece of pizza OUT of his mouth. He went to get a drink and she squeezed her beak in between his cheek and the side of the glass to "share".

I wish I could get her to teach my BFA Skittles about the joys of eating!

Mango has definitely "moved in". He previous human said she was a food addict, he didn't say how bas she does.

The family was having a problem keeping her out of everyone's plates, so they fixed her her own plate. Once she finished hers, she roamed the table helping herself to every one else's food.

This morning, she took a photo of Mango reaching into my grandson's mouth to recover a bite of cantalope. (Not the first time, just the first time caught on camera.)
(Photo coming.)

Luckily, it wasn't me, LOL ... she reaches into my mouth and I might just eat me some CAG!

Just a note to be careful about birds near, or in, our mouths. Human saliva is very toxic to birds. The bacteria in our mouth is deadly to them. They also should not be fed food that we have bitten, for the same reason.
