I Ran across this in my YouTube recommended list and wanted to share.
Some of the terminology is …. not what we here at the PF are use to.
I was going to post this in the Mac section but other birds are shown.

Well, "WOW"! and I not sure that is off the charts enough to describe the video!!!

Hmmm, we may want to recommend this video to anyone that wants to build an Aviary!

The indoor/outdoor feature and the way it was implemented is real slick.
I would like to have heard more about the cooling methods used.
Living in the high desert of Cal an outdoor aviary would only be usable a few months a year.
Letting the birds out in the am before it gets hot won't win me any friends with the neighbors.

Although the remarks about the roof cooling system was just a few words, it was enough to extrapolate what and how it would work:

By sprinkling (like an irrigation system mounted on the roof) the water would cause the metal roof to become cooler as the water evaporates. The effects of a cooler roof and basic science (Warm air rises, Cool air falls), the air inside, near the roof would fall to the floor below cooling the air inside as it falls.

The trick is setting the 'misting' sprinkling heads to provide just enough water so that it doesn't roll-off the roof in volume before evaporating.

High desert areas are problematic as water is limited and/or expensive.

Wow this guy's set up is amazing!! That tractor shed looks about as big as the block of land my house sits on! Now I know exactly what to do if/when I ever win the lottery :)

Love that mans Luts and Opalines. At the last Parrot Society of Australia sale before COVID he brought in a Lut and Opaline for display. Really nice bloke, photos don’t do justice to remarkably coloured birds like those. The only birds that could beat his are from the Original breeder who established the opalines, at the Orange bird sale he had a couple up for sale and they came with a price tag you would have to remortgage your house for!

Yess I wondered about the value of the Lutino.
My second thought was I hope he has good security on that place.

Found out the bloke has managed to breed from his Luts. Selling possible splits for $10,000 (66% chance of being true splits) and guaranteed splits for $25,000 - Not a price for the faint of heart!!
