I'm concerned about a swollen spot over Sunny's eye. She was out with us a couple of weeks ago sitting at a picnic table and I thought was bitten by a mosquito. It raised a red bump which I wasn't really concerned about as she has had bites before. A couple of days later I noticed it looked like a scratch. I assumed she had scratched herself itching it. It has now been at least two weeks and she has a raised swollen bump still there. It doesn't seem to bother her but I am starting to worry. Any ideas? I tried to get a clear picture but Miss Sunny was on her way to bed and wouldn't hold still. Not that she would any other time either. LOL.

I'm only guessing here, but is it possible the mosquito was carrying a disease? I know dogs can get heartworms from infected mosquitoes, but don't know if our parrots can get them.
