Serious I thought it was a fluke that some birds put food in there water. I came home yesterday to find his water with food in it. Its on the other side of the cage from his food dishes so it was not a accident . I cleaned all dishes added fresh food and water. Before going to bed I look and there is a dried red pepper from his dry food floating on top. I had just changed the water so left the pepper.
This morning I filled his fresh dish Checked his seed pellet supply for the day. When I pulled the water dish out there is the red pepper plus a few pc of dried fruit. As soon as I walked away from his cage with the dish to clean it He went nuts. Yelling HI HI... What ever ....stop that ...HI HI... what ever stop that. So I cleaned the water but put the food back in and returned it to his cage. He checked each floating object . Poking it with his beak . I guess to see if it was done yet then started bobbing his head at me . I guess he is please with the return of his soup.

LOL He gets crackers but trust me they do not last long in his talon . It makes me laugh because it almost seems like he is now learning to be a Parrot.

I have his dry bowl and fresh food bowl side by side. His water dish is on the other side of the cage. Is that set up ok Or should water be closer to the food ?

I have my food bowls set up on the other side of the cage from the water bowl. If that's wrong...then we are both wrong. :D

Presently have six Greenwing Macaw (17 yo), Red Fronted Macaw (12 yo), Red Lored Amazon (17 y.o.), Lilac Crowned Amazon (about 43 y.o.) and a Congo African Grey (11 y.o.)
Panama Amazon (1 Y.O.)

That way, the bird at least gets some exercise walking back and forth across the cage when making soup... :D

Both of my birds love making pellet soup... so much that I have to change the water at least 5 times a day. I place their food and water bowls across the cages so that they have to get some exercise to make it, considering how much I walk back and forth just to clean their bowls :p
