Hi All,

My name is Arvon, I am just in the process of building my first Aviary.

it has an indoor room 9ft x 5ft and an outside flight of 22ft x 9ft.

I am wanting to start with the smaller parakeet type birds and was wandering if the following birds would be ok in the Aviary together.

I am looking for a pair of Indian Ringnecks, pair of Lovebirds and a pair of conures.

Any advice would be great and any other birds that would live happily with the above.

regards

Arvon

Lovebirds and conures cant be housed together or with another specie, they are aggressive and will kill another bird. The only birds I would house together are budgies and cockatiels.

The ring necks have been known to kill birds of other species. Basically, none of those birds will work together. You can build individual smaller aviaries and have them all, but they would need to be separated. As stated before cockatiels and budgies can be OK together, but always supervise until you are sure there isn't going to be a blood bath.

Rosey Bourkes make good aviary birds. Could put them with finches or cockatiels. Mulgas are very beautiful too.
