Hi everyone,
I currently have 2 pairs of gcc and am about to start building their breeding aviary. I know I need to build 2 separate flights for each pair. I am currently planning on making each one 6ft tall, 9ft long and 4.5ft wide. Do I need to add a shed area for in the winter? ( I live in the uk so can get quite cold. I was planning on just putting up clear plastic sheets to block wind and add some insulation). What is the best time to add a nest box or do I leave it in all year round? Whatās the best type of nest box to use ( Iāve seen deep ones and L shaped ones but would like to know which is best) and finally, do I add any plants or just leave it to a few perches?
