Chronic: male Senegal about 3 and a half months old
I just bought some treats for my Senegal parrot, they are yogurt covered sunflower seeds and i didn't notice until i was home that seeds are still inside the shells. i was just wondering if these are okay to give to my parrot and if so is he allowed to eat the shells because that is what is covered with yogurt.

Are they the blueberry ones? We get them for our conure, they are his favorite treat! And I just love the way they smell. Like any treat, you want to give them in moderation and don't worry, he will shell them :) Our conure eats all of the yogurt off then pops the shell open to get the seed out.

okay thank you, I figured he would know to take the shells off if he was supposed to. I just wasn't sure because they are covered with yogurt.
