I'm Misha, brand new here. I have a beautiful 1 year old Jenday Conure named Korra. As well as a very large 3 year old rescued Papillon named Mako.
A little bit about me, I worked at Petsmart for about 2 months, during my time there I met Korra, who was only 3 months old at the time. Everyone thought she was a boy and called her Waldo. But something about her seemed ladylike. She loved cuddling in my shirt when I took her out after closing, chittering to me when I talked to her. One day I went to work to see that 'Waldo' was gone. Sold to a couple that decided to buy her on my day off. I couldn't believe how heartbroken I was, I had never ever been a bird person. I was actually scared of my old friend's cockatiel. But Korra was different. 3 days later, I saw her in the return room, where animals are kept for several days to make sure they don't get other's sick. I was overjoyed and bought a perfect, yet rather expensive, cage the next day, much to the dismay of my father. I picked her up on my day off a few days later. I immediatly named her Korra, feeling that she was in fact a little lady. I had her sexed several months later, and found out I was right!
A month after bringing her home, my 11 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel died. I wouldn't have been able to get out of bed if it wasn't for Korra. I owe her everything, and she doesn't even know it. Of course, now she has to deal with our fairly new addition, an adopted 3 year old Papillon named Mako. But she'll always be my girl.
Anyways, I'm a writer now, no longer working at Petsmart Stort stories mostly. That's how I make money. Well, that and selling my art at Anime Conventions... Most of my morning is spent making a delicious breakfast for Korra. Her favorite things are pineapple and organic apricot juice! Although, she does love brocolli and popcorn almost just as much as pineapple...
