Hi everyone! My name is Joanne, and my little quakers name is Kiwi. I have a ton of questions as a first time parrot owner, and have many answers on this forum, so decided to join you guys. Any must know tips you guys can provide me about quakers would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, Joanne & Kiwi, and welcome to the Parrot Forums family!

There are quite a few quaker parronts on this site, and I'm sure they'll be along with some tips. In the meantime, you might want to peruse the Quaker sub-forum. Quite a few knowledgeable folks there sharing their insights about these beautiful birds.

Welcome, Quaker parront!
My advice, always... take any issue or topic which interests you, use the Search Tab and then read about it. I do that a lot, still. Almost every day. The people here are an amazing source of information, advice, and support. I'm glad you found us!

It's always nice to welcome a new Quaker parront. :) Stop by the Quaker specific section and you'll find lots of information in the posts there-- and that's a good place to post your own Quaker-related questions too. Something I recommend to anyone new to QPs is to read a good book about Quakers-- Mattie Sue Athan's Guide to the Quaker Parrot is a good choice. Kiwi will soon show you that life is never dull when there's a Quaker parrot around. :D
