Ok, ok.. sorry for the teasing. ;p

meet Ghost, the new member of the family. <3

he's a snow seal sepia bengal cat that i've been seeing a breeder about for
a while now. i've always wanted a bengal cat, but i never thought i'd find a
good breeder here until i came across this reputable one. i actually prefer
silver bengals but he told me that won't happen anytime soon in my country,
so i went with this cutie that instantly caught my eye. as some of you may
know, my family made me give up my domestic long haired cat Foxy
recently, partly because of how excessive her shedding became and they
hated that. they said they wanted a new cat and they were going to get a
british shorthair (not really a fan) that i'd end up taking care of 24/7, so
i told them about bengals and how little they shed.. and they slowly started
warming up to them. they said Ghost was cute through pictures, but when
they actually saw him.... they could not stop aww'ing lol. i guess they're
all going to get along just fine. except my oldman.

despite being a bit nervous and kinda sad, Ghost was super curious as soon
as i set his carrier down and opened the door. he walked out as if he owns
the place and started exploring and playing around. but he wouldn't stop
meowing for his family. i started feeling bad about taking him away from
them, but i'm sure he'll be fine in no time. ;(

oh and my apologies for just posting one photo of him looking somewhat
tired. he's not the only one here that's tired as hell, lol. i'll post more
photos when i take 'em. and i'm also curious to see how he'd get along
with Birdie. Birdie's friendly towards other animals, so i'm looking forward
to introducing them to each other after Ghost settles in more. ^^

Oh what a beautiful kitty!! I got a ragdoll instead of a Bengal because I have parrots and wanted a cat with low prey drive. Lupe loves Bengals but I was too concerned about the Bengal hunting my parrots. How is the prey drive with your kind of Bengal. I love his coloring ...such a sweet sweet face. Here is a pic of my Julianna..ragdoll cat.

her eyes look WEIRD. They are blue and got the flash just right.

yea bengals are active and can be a threat to birds but i know that
if i introduce Ghost to Birdie and Cloud.. he might get used to being
around birds and think of them as friends. but the possibility of
a cat hunting a bird is obviously always there, so my eyes are
always on them if they're out together. Foxy and Birdie used to play
a lot, and Cloud basically hates everyone haha.

Eehehe, i'll take that as a compliment! thanks a lot, he sure is
gorgeous, but that picture doesn't do him justice. actually he
looks way better in real life than in pictures. here are a few
older ones from the breeder.

All my cats are introduced to birds while young, it does NOT kill their prey drive! IF one wants to, they still will. Especially with a high strong Bengal, be sure he gets plenty of exercise cause that's what they need to wear them down if you want to keep peace within the household. I love my kitties, but I do not trust them with birds by the way they act. I can see it in their eyes. We recently rescued Jaxon and I don't trust him one bit with the smaller birds, he's afraid of the big ones so he will leave them alone. Never be too careful as it is their natural instinct. Here's my Jaxon--->http://www.parrotforums.com/off-topic/35533-jaxon-kitten-warning-picture-heavy-cuteness-overload.html

I totally understand Mikey. Even though I got Julianna as an older kitten she has interest in tail feathers. Apparently at the breeders she liked to reach out and touch cockatiel feathers. *sigh* This presented kind of a problem when my Illiger's macaw Diego use to call out to her in my voice and get her running to his cage so he could "tease" her with his tail feathers only to get her close enough to bite her. Such a naughty parrot! Diego had nailed her once so Julianna has learned to respect the parrots. She does her nightly patrol of making sure they are okay and in cages then makes sure the dog is on the bed with Lupe when will lay in her basket in the office while I play my games.

Even though Julianna is a Ragdoll and has the instinct to hunt breed out (which is why a person should keep Ragdolls inside. They don't know any better..LOL) I would not trust her not to want to play with tails. Although she does respect the parrots I would never trust them out together without my presence.

All 3 kitties respect the ekkies and the macaws especially!!!! When Java was around, the other two kitties would NEVER venture into the bird room. They're both terrified of Java the U2. It's the smaller birds that they show interest to so I have to keep the doors closed from the kitties at all times. All the animals here are afraid of both macaws...lol...The dogs were taught early on when they were young as they all got nipped by Willie, I did it on purpose to show them to stay away from the big birds. They all catch on very quickly.

thanks everyone! sorry again for not posting much. D; busy busy busy.

my gf and i took Ghost to the vet today to get his second vaccination and deworming
done. i was surprised at how chill and extremely well behaved he was. the doctor loved
him. ^^ his meows have been a little hoarse recently and he's been having bad breath
every now and then and the doctor confirmed my suspicions; a respiratory infection.
it's not serious though. said it'll go away pretty soon. other than that, he's a healthy
little furball. <3 and i can't leave you guys without photos sooo....

on the way to the vet today. he hates carriers and cars so my gf had him on her lap
the whole time but i let him come over to me while we were at bumper to bumper
traffic to calm him down.

oh and on a side note; i finally got an iphone 5s today.. so hopefully the
quality of any future photos will be higher. >;3
