Longest 2 weeks!

2 weeks till my Rocky is home. Ship date is April 19th! But wow is this going to be the longest two weeks of my life! The cage is ready and i am going tomorrow to pick up food from the bird store. The bird store is the original breeder i went to her warehouse is only open Wednesday and Saturdays. I cant make it on a wed because of my husbands work schedule and she just emailed me to let me know the warehouse will be closed on the 14th! lol go figure! im hoping its not a freshness issue but she is the only one in my area that carries golden feast!
Anyways off of that ramble...what am i going to do to pass the time! It is like torture lol! We even made him a really neat pvc playstand. I do need to pick up vet tape this weekend for it, i went to get some last week and the store was out.
I felt this way during my last two weeks of pregnancy too so i know i'll get through it...but geez! im busting at the seems to meet my Rocky!!!

My Safe Bird Store also sells Golden Feast, which Merlin really likes. You can even buy it by the pound, which I'm doing now so it doesn't go bad. No one here sells it locally so I was glad to see she had it.

Try to keep busy to keep your mind occupied. It's so hard though, but now is a good time to do spring cleaning, lol!

Ok i just bought the golden feast and some toys from her. Thanks for the suggestion. i Have been REALLY wanting to order from her from all the great things ive heard! Now im excited about getting the package so it will be something sooner to look forward to! lol Thanks roxy, great idea!

I know how you feel about the wait. I did some painting before Jasper got to come home but it will be here before you know it.

No, I don't think Harrison's makes it. I think the company might actually be called Golden Feast. 3 months ago I looked it up before Merlin came to see what it was. They make different flavors. I know she likes the Carribean so that is what I have bought this time as well. It doesn't have any preservatives though so keep it in the fridge or even freeze some of it.

But i had NO idea it wasnt a sit in the pantry type bird food so THANK YOU! ive never heard of it before but thats is what the breeder weaned him onto, central american blend. I need to feed it cooked. If the package doesnt say anything it would have have gone bad. Fridge and freezer it is! i ordered 3 pounds because i have no idea how heavy or how long it lasts either... i guess im gonna determine a serving by how much he eats withing an hour or so?

Yes, if you bought 3lbs and it won't be packaged in the original container it won't say to put it in the fridge. She repackages it and from there I put it into zip lock bags. I put half in my fridge and half in my freezer. I need to also get an idea of how long it will last. Merlin is the only one who really likes it so I don't have all 3 eating it.

I just got the shipping confirmation....its gonna be here monday. A lot sooner then i expected lol. So will it be ok if i throw it all in the freezer for now? And then take a few days worth out the day before he gets here?

i Just got MSBS package and WOW! i have never felt so special or excited opening something i paid for before! lol it was like a gift! i have read the same thing from everyone else but , it is great! this store is the best and i think i will order my food from her all the time. It is really nice of her to add the extra little toys and candy too! it was great doing business with her!
Now rockys food is in the freezer and his welcome home pinata is hanging! 10 more days!

I'm going to go fruit and veggie shopping on tuesday! Cage is set up with every type of toy and even a welcome home pinata! im gonna carpet clean on monday so the house is nice for him lol. hope im not forgetting anything! I am so excited, he is almost here!
