I AM BACK (don't know for how long) !!!! Heard it could go on and off for a while
Our Power Station blew on Monday night
Steven studied each night using candles once the lamps died.
I charged my lamps, cellphone and laptops at work
Mishka coped very well (must admit he was rather quiet)
I still managed to give him warm veggies for dinner (placed the packet on the window sill for 30 minutes and it warmed up) Temperature is +- 36 deg Thank goodness.
LoL we even had warm water to shower in each day, our geyser gets loads of sunshine.....
We are eating tinned food at the moment, Steven's girlfriend family were kind enough to store our frozen food.
Keeping my fingers and toes crossed we are over the worst.
Don't know how I am going to catch up with all that I have missed

Oh my goodness!!!! It had to have been HORRIBLE without power! I'm SO glad it's been restored for you. ...and I seriously hope it stays on for you this time.
Resorting to candles may be romantic and all....but I think you'd agree with me that electricity beats candles any given day. :54:

I agree Wendy nothing beats electricity
It is still on Thank God !!!!!! Been once since 5pm Friday...so far so good.
We only used candles once Mishka was asleep in my bedroom.

Wow, glad things are back to normal (electricity-wise) for ya'll. I hate it when ours goes out for just a few hrs. It is just too darn quite (yep, even with all my birds, they got quite wondering what was happening) & it loves to do that on the hottest of days, in the middle of the afternoon.
Last summer it did that for almost 6 hrs. & we had to open all exterior doors & windows to try to get a breeze for the birds. Summers in Texas without the AC running is just plain awful!!
