Hi all...so they discontinued my all time favorite app for my android tablet/phone. It had most current books with popular authors. Then all of a sudden it was gone! I did email them and ask if they would be coming back with a subscription based app but didn't get a response. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good site to get good books? I have checked out Kindle Unlimited, Scribd and a new one I found online yesterday called Oyster. But I also saw reviews of billing issues on Kindle Unlimited and Scribd...I certainly don't want the hassle of that.

Anyone experience good or bad with any ebook sites?

I use Kindle Reader. Buy all books thru amazon. Never had a issue. In fact they refunded my money twice because after buying a book I realized I had read it already
I know a lot of the large Library are now doing the digital loan . You can even borrow from other States you just have to pay a small fee for the out of state card.

Ok..thanks! I have bought books from amazon and not had any problem. I will probably just go with the Kindle Unlimited. I just wanted to get some "real" opinions...not just reviews online. I think Amazon/Kindle are pretty reputable names so didn't understand the billing issue reviews.

iTunes has a lot of books, many for free. Overdrive is another app that works with your local library, and gets new releases regularily.

I also give a vote for Kindle Unlimited. However if you want free you can use your local library. I both buy and borrow books.

RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
I love my Kindle, but haven't yet considered the "Unlimited" program.
Never any issues with billing or downloading!

Thanks! I still have some books on my old app that I downloaded but haven't read yet. It seems my "reading" time I spend on this forum...lol. That's ok with me though! I will have to check out overdrive as I've never heard of that one.
