Hi I am wondering does anyone soak pulses? I have read a few articles that say they are brilliant and a few that tell us to steer clear. Yesterday I went down to the supermarket and bought around 10 different types of pulses and some brown rice and I have mixed it together. I took a few handfuls out and soaked it for 14 hours overnight rinsed it in boiling water this am and feed it to my indoor fids they are loving it. I am just wondering should I have cooked them or sprouted them or do what I have done. I frequently try to sprout seeds but they seem to take for ever and then I worry about bacteria build up and things and end up throwing them away. My husband says I bet they eat all kinds of moldy rotten stuff in the wild but like I say to him if he wont eat it I wont let my babies eat it either lol. thanks .
