Breakfast, 2nd B'fast, Elevenses, & more

After looking around here on the forum, I really like how you guys start your own thread and update it with new posts. Following this pattern, I'm starting this thread to post pics of the chops that have been made for Jesse. He flings more than he eats, but I enjoy making them for him.

Please share pictures and/or descriptions of the chops you make for your bird(s). Below is an example of one I made today. It's carrots, pumpkin seeds, basil flowers and seed pods, and a Chex cereal square crushed.

Mmm, that looks interesting.
I too love making chop for my birds as it gives me the joy that all these vegetables rich in vitamins are going to make my birds and their feathers healthy. (I love the look of shiny smooth feathers by a healthy diet, lots of sun and daily baths).
Thank you, I am looking forward to the next pics.

That's so true re:seeing their feathers healthy. When I first got Jesse he was covered in stress bars. With each molt, he turns greener and shinier. It makes me happy to see the changes in him. I wish now I'd worded the thread so that everyone could post pics of their chops. I didn't think anyone else would be as interested as I was. I'd love to see what you make for yours.

Lol I through what ever I have in bowl. I prefer to make them work for it, do it's usually whole, or chopped just enough for them to hold. Today was carrot, broccoli, romaine, a grape, some radish.. I also might use my bird heat and serve mix later, it's made by volcan
I like your pictures, and I'm happy to read and keep up with your posts!

So glad you posted this. I'm going to edit the thread so that everyone will feel welcome to post picks of their favorite chop combos. Love getting new ideas from others.

Re: Breakfast, 2nd B'fast, Elevenses, & more

This is my bird’s daily chop, I make a big batch every now and then with the food processor and freeze.
This should be a better photo.

The chunks are frozen pieces of swede that were not in stock when I was preparing to make chop.
