New Quaker Parrot is Becoming Aggressive?

I bought a 12 week old male hand raised Quaker parrot about a week ago, when i first got him he was really sweet and playful and always want to interact with us.
Now he doesn't want to do anything other than sit on my shoulder and chew my shirts (not sure if natural or aggressive behavior?)
he also doesn't seem as tame as he was before, he doesn't come to the door begging to come out when i get home and he has become quite unruly.
I try to get him to do step ups but he just flies onto my shoulder, (the wings are clipped though)
What really worries me is that today when i tried to put him back in the cage he bit me, not very hard and it didn't hurt but he has never bitten before.
He always seems to be in a really grumpy mood and is not the same sweet little bird he used to be, even though hes only been with me for a week!
please help!
thank you

You need to start training him! Have you try target training yet???? If not, take a view on some videos off youtube as there's plenty of videos there. All about the same as you just need to understand the basics and go from there.

My quaker was very similar, he hatched on 31 October 2013. I started him off straight up target training. I would point a chopstick to where I wanted him to fly to and I say "here" and he flies over and sits next to the chopstick, I obviously use a click and give a treat to do this. Now not long ago, he started becoming aggresive, so I have used more intense target training, taught him new tricks like when I say "Twist" he knows to do a 360 on the perch. click and treat. Also. I say "Gym" and he knows to fly over and sit on or play on his gym. He is now not biting, I reckon when you are telling your bird to do something, even though you are treating them, it makes them feel like they are not in charge, because you can make him do what you want him to do. Let us know how you go...
