Quaker parrot, Ralph
Today may have been the last warm day we have around here for a while, so I decided to take Ralph to visit our friend at a nursing home. Ralph wasn't too eager to get into his transport cage-- he hates it, and he isn't happy about riding in the car either, even though it's a very short ride. He's a very popular visitor at the home; lots of the residents and staff enjoy seeing him. Many of the people used to have birds themselves and they like reminiscing about them. They ask lots of questions too, the most often asked one being "does he talk?" :D Of course, Ralph won't say a thing while he's there; he's not the most talkative parrot anyway. Ralph was very well-behaved and brought smiles to a lot of faces today, so he earned an extra treat or two. :)

Thank-you, for taking Ralph to your friends nursing home! That is a truly wonderful thing!

I take our DYH Amazon quarterly to visit my Mother and she always enjoys his visit and all the attention she gets when her feathered grandson visits!

My hero, Ralph! I'm sure the handsome Ralph brightened the hearts of all he encountered today. Well deserved treats for your good boy!
