Please help! New bird owner. I have a Quaker and a Cockateil. I saw their poop today and thought it looked strange. Do these look like worms? The Quaker eats fresh fruits and rice and greens.

Those look like pretty healthy parrot poops to me. Though I never really thought about it in that way, the feces portion of the dropping (the green part) can sometimes have a worm like appearance. If a parrot DID have worms, you probably wouldn't be able to see them with the naked eye.

When Kiko had worms, he actually had pretty bad Diarrhea. I took him to the Avian Vet and they gave him a dewormer and his poops turned to normal again. That looks liek normal poop to me, and sometimes, especially after it dries, it can look like worms.

Huginn's poop frequently looks like this. I think it just has to do with the solidity of the poop (more solid than liquid) because he will fluctuate back and forth. I doubt you have anything to worry about!
