RIP Gandalf and Big Bird, you are missed.
Absolutely yes! Checks all of the boxes for cockatoo fun... makes noise, attracts human attention, expends energy!

They are Houdinis, including disassembling cages, locks, opening compartments, etc. I had an older cage that had the locks destroyed and resorted to closing with a thin 3" nut and bolt. One of my Goffins watched the unlocking process and learned to unthread the bolt. After dozens of rotations he happily tossed the nut to the ground and removed the bolt!! I have video to prove!

Not mine! But he's too small for that lol. A cockatoo? Definitely! From what I've seen cockatoos are like feathered toddlers

Silly human, that's not a door. It's a giant toy that clanks and bangs and makes lots of noise! Perfect fun for a cockatoo and perfectly normal happy/playful behavior.

yup that's cockatoo fun time! Best toy ever, it makes all that noise and everytime it happens the human comes over!

The stories I hear of cockatoos are hilarious. I remember hearing once about someone having to weld their cage together and using a heavy padlock on the door as they came home once to find their too had disassembled it entirely whilst they were at work. I picture a very proud looking bird stood on top of the remains of the cage screaming for their owner to look at the good job they did

Yes!
The Rb bangs his door... and his food bowls and toys and...
I didn't like it cuz I worried about bird-parts getting caught on the joints so I made sure that the door opened and closed with no contracting spaces...
