1st lengthy road trip

2 cockatiels Nina & simon
Out of town assignment, but near enough to drive instead of fly. (See profile). Nina & Simon came to us in two separate cardboard carriers. For the last 2 months they have shared a relatively large cage. Shall I remove all potential hazards and just leave the wire rope & swing in the cage or shall I separate them into their cardboard travel boxes for the 8 hr road trip? HELP pls. New member...:grey:

I dont think the cardboard boxes will be needed. If your taking their cage just remove anything that swings and could hurt them. Some birds will do better with being partially covered but mine always like to look around. Mine have ate and drank throughout the entire trip. I have gotten lucky and have had good travelers though.
