I've been interacting with a couple of older Jardine's at the local bird shop for quite some time now. However, they both have behavioral issues, not to mention that they are way over priced.

I found a breeder who has one baby chick left, and I'm seriously considering getting it. Would my 22x22x30 cage be too small for a Jardine's?

Well, I did it! I placed a deposit down on a week old chick. Now my aviary's complete!

So very excited!

Congratulations! Jardines are awesome birds.
I am not sure about the cage size as I have never owned a Jardine's myself, so hopefully someone else can chime in about that.

oh I am so happy for you!!....they are AWESOME birds, you are going to LOVE a Jardine.
they are so funny.
I'm not sure about the cage though, it does sound a bit small, they need a bit more space.

perhaps you could sell the existing cage, and put the money towards a new one.

Crimson's idea is great!

Depending upon the adults weight, I'd recommend something between a 32" x 21" x 35" flight cage to a 32" x 23" x ___" parrot cage!

I'm excited about it, too!

Monica, that's the size cage I just purchased for Walter as an upgrade for him.

I guess I could go ahead and sell the smaller cage. It's only 6 weeks old, so it's like new.
