Amazon hormones

Hi just wondering if someone can give me advice. Lupin is a bf amazon (we think he is male) who is almost two years old.

This evening he was making a strange clucking honky noise while regurgitating, and also moving his head up and down. I am guessing this is hormones. He is however not any more agressive and was even cuddling and playing with relatives children last night. He is also still happy to be picked up by me and my partner. Any advice on what to do when all this starts, as he is our first amazon parrot.

I think he is too young to be going through the hormonal stage yet. Its usually anywhere between 5 & 7 years old!

The regurgitating is normal though:) Codie does this alot.

Yes I agree with wenz hormonal stages shouldn't start till that age. I'd probably just say it is him trying to get your attention and seeing what works to do that:p.
