An update on Al...

… I just got off the phone with Geri (Al's missus) and she said he's not doing as well as she'd like him to be. He is currently running a fever of 101.5 when he is usually at 96.5,his "normal" temp and said the doc's can't figure out why.

She said he had a 5-way bypass,where one of his artery's is so blocked they couldn't use a stent. He is still in the Critical Care Unit but all the tubes and such have been removed.

I asked her to please keep me informed on his condition,and to tell him his second family is thinking of him and praying for his full and speedy recovery. She is very grateful for our support!


And Geri said that Salty has been crying "daddy..daddy" quite a bit :02: but is doing ok and she is handling him with no problems.

PLEASE!! say a prayer for our great friend and his family!!

Thanks so much for the update, Jim. I am saddened by the slow progress and hope his docs quickly figure the best treatment possible.

Geri understands what is happening but poor Salty is probably very confused.

Dear friends.. I will call Geri this weekend for an update. When I spoke to her the last time the poor girl was in a tizzy..being handicapped herself and not being able to drive etc. As soon as I get ANY kind of info,the awesome people here will be the first to know!

Al and Geri and Salty are the first (and only) members of this awesome forum I have met so far,and like many of you whom I have not met (yet) mean the world to me!!!!

Jim, thank you so much for this update. It's troubling to know he's going trough such a difficult time, but better by far than not knowing what's going on. Please let Geri know Al remains in our thoughts and prayers, as do she and Salty.

Ok folks..for those who would like to know..Al is in The Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip NY ( that's on the Island) I googled trying to get the phone number and/or address but google is giving me the run around,or i'm just a knucklehead when it comes to computers

Soooo...when I can get more info,i'll let y'all know..hope he's not home by then :03: Gonna have to get his COMPLETE name also..I don't think the mail person would deliver anything that says...To: Wrench 13...c/o yadda yadda yadda
