My boyfriend and I go to the movies a lot so I've decided to promote myself to Official Movie Bird Lady. My duty will be to promote discussion about movies amongst the bird people. All Hail me in my pathetic-ness!
Don't worry, I do bodily harm to people who spoil movies for me so I won't ever do that to you
Saw 'Gone baby gone' tonight and it was really good. I thought for sure it'd stink, even with the good reviews (since Ben Affleck cast his own brother in it) but it was excellent, best movie I've seen in awhile.
Saw 'Michael Clayton' a few nights ago and experienced something new. A ten dollar nap. First time I've ever fallen asleep at a movie! Honest to god I couldn't keep my eyes open. Saw about 3 other people sleeping as well! What the hell, George Clooney!?!
'30 days of Night' was extremely gory and kind of corny.. but it was fun. I felt compelled to whisper "we are never moving to Alaska" in my boyfriend's ear about half way through.
'The Heartbreak Kid' made me laugh out loud a bunch of times but it wasn't that great. Why do they always ruin movies by showing the best scenes over and over again in television commercials?
'The Kingdom' was pretty good, nice to see a movie that doesn't beat some idiot celebrity war opinion down your throat.
'We Own the Night' was pretty freaking dumb even though it did make me laugh out loud a few times. Unfortunately, it was supposed to be a drama!
'Resident Evil: Extinction' was OK I guess, but only because Milla Jovovich is incredibly hot enough to get you through anything. Lots of action and everything like the others. Just felt to me like they didn't go at it as hard because they knew everyone was going to go see it regardless.
So.. come on and lets argue about movies.
