When we first got Shiko, he was a sweet heart and very gentle. To this day, he is still very gentle and has yet to even truly bite someone. He'll do a hard beak, but he's never once tried to actually tear into anyone... however, I'm finding that as time goes on he's becoming more aggressive towards me specifically. I honestly think it's because Avery has a well established bond with me and Shiko gets jealous. She's becoming more confident in her flying and as a result she's flying to be with me more and more (it only took two years!).
I guess the general scenario is this:
Avery will fly around the room and land on my head, and Shiko will follow like a love-sick puppy. Eventually Avery gets snappy with his overbearing attention. I try to remove him from my shoulder because I don't want to be a victim from their fighting, and because he has a terrible habit of trying to tear into the arms of my glasses. As a result, he gets mad at me, gives me a good beak (that has become harder and harder over time), and because I disprove of his behaviour he gets a nice time out. Rinse and repeat.
It's obviously not working, and I really don't want to drive Shiko into becoming a biter. The only solutions I can think of at this point is having separate outside of the cage time... the only problem I have with it is that both Shiko and Avery really benefit from each other's company. I just end up getting the short stick because I'm stuck in between their messy love triangle. Any suggestions would be welcome!
Sorry for the long post... here's a few adorable pictures to make up for it:

Shiko being a goof on the cat tree stand -
How Avery is sitting on my laptop as I type this right now -
