Hi,
I am hopping to get a little info on some Macaw breeders in QLD or Australia in general. For while i have been thinking/reading about getting a Macaw and finely have decided to do so.
The issue Iām running into is lack of information around reputable breeders. Is there an Australian breeder register to verify the person selling the bird is licensed to do so. When you purcahse a bird likes this do you get a owner ship certificate/ proof of pedigree, who the breeder is/ where the bird came from, ect?
Also can anyone recommend a good breeder in QLD(south east).
I was only able to find two. Perky's(Mark) and naturepetsoz. Whilst Mark was more then helpful in answering all my questions, unfortunately they donāt have chicks for sale. Naturepetsoz did have, but i found them to be rather dodgy, no info on breeder, not allowed to visit the aviary where the bird is raised/trained/lives. The only way to see the bird is at their open market stand or meet at some random location. Has anyone heard of these guys/ has any experience with them?
