I've had an African Grey for a number of years. Kenya is currently in a King cage which works fine, however I am so tired of the dust it creates in my house. I find myself constantly dusting! Giving her away or selling is not an option - I love my parrot. Any suggestions? Does anyone out there have an enclosed cage and can you share how it works? Appreciate any help/suggestions!

Without setting up an air filtration system in the room you keep your bird or have one installed in your heat & AC system, sweeping, dusting & vacuuming are probably going to be your friends for the foreseeable future.....

With an enclosed cage, you're going to have to provide some sort of air handling system for the cage.....

Daily, or at least often, showering will help with some of the dander & dust. My Grey loved his showers, and dander never seemed to be much of a problem. Also, an air filter will help immensely.
