Can budgies and sun conures be friends??

My sun conure phoenix is an only bird lol and I feel so bad that he doesn't have a feathered friend to play with! I was thinking about buying a budgie from the pet store... what do you think??? also, I don't have to worry about them making babies right???

Their is a big size/beak difference. The sun could easily bite off a leg or kill the budgie. It is possible they could get along but you could never EVER leave them unattended. Plus conures are aggressive parrots and if your sun decided he didn't like the budgie, the budgie would be history. I would suggest another sun, jenday, green cheek or another type of conure because conures tend to get along better with other conures.

Agree with what is said above me. I would stick to the same species of bird. No need to feel sorry for your bird. Conures like getting all of the attention.
