Percy loves fresh mango strips (dried mango is from the devil and should be immediately tossed through the cage bars, should one be unlucky enough to encounter it!).

I was wondering whether I can give him the stone to eat off? Perhaps stick it on a skewer? What do you think? Is the inside of the stone unsafe?

And what about a dried mango stone? As children, we would eat the hair type mangos (that left you with fuzzy yellow smiles LOL), save the stone, wash it out well and dry it in the sun. We would the brush up the hair to create a hairdo and draw faces on the dried stone with permanent marker. I wonder if a dried stone could be somehow incorporated in a toy?

I read somewhere that the pips of all stone fruit (apricots, plums, peaches, etc) are taboo. Does this apply to mangoes too?

Without actually having looked it up, I would not feed any pits/stones from fruit, just to be on the safe side. :)

I have one umbrella cockatoo. A female 3 years old named Mina.
NO FRUIT SEEDS. They have a derivative of arsenic in them.
