You'd have to be really careful. I'd say use a baby brush and only do the top layer. Rocky has blood feathers ALL THE TIME and I'd be afraid vigorous brushing would break one. I did use a plastic fork as a comb on him once, very, very gently (it's all I had within reach, LOL) and he LOVED it.

If someone told me that they use a brush on their Parrot, I would have laughed and likely asked just how long they had been in surgery after the brushing.

I noted the type of brush and would think that it would be separating the segments of a feather.

Like I said, if not for the video, I would not believe it. Even having seen it, I will not be brushing my Amazon. I have a personal attachment to my fingers. :D

Well.... maybe fibbing a little, but he is kind of similar to a large bat:p But like Sailboat, I too have a personal attachment to keeping all 10 of my fingers!
