Sprite the cinnamon green cheek conure.
Just wondering, if you pull out chest feathers off your bird for a DNA test will it make the bird lose trust in you?

I believe it is done by a clip of the toe nail for a small drop of blood by someone who knows what they are doing like a breeder or a vet.

No not in my experience & i have done a few by pulling a feather. Also by inserting a needle into the toe just to collect a drop of blood. We have never done the toe nail clip.

See siggie :)
They would probably get over it :)

Although....
Is this to do with you getting a cockatiel soon?

Because most mutations can be visually sexed.
No DNA test needed in most cases :) .

Ratzy, yes with my tiel.... I am most likely getting a normal gray... Can you tell what sex they are for sure? I want a male tiel and I want to be 100% sure it is male!
