Wow, Albie seems to have this one down pat! A bright future for the little conure. As far as I know, it pays to introduce a set up that requires Albie to fly DOWN to you, because escaped parrots have a hard time flying DOWN from a tree or elevated position to your hand. But he seems to be a smart one, and should have no trouble learning that.
Really, keep it up! Now that Albie knows there are times when he will be asked to learn something, try introducing new tricks or actions. They definitely get bored doing the same tricks over and over.
Absolutely, this is a new one, getting him to fly back to his perch, we started it today!
I've been working on recall around the house including putting him upstairs and calling him down. It should absolutely be something every bird owner teaches their birds to be able to do should they ever escape and is the reason I'm doing it.
