GCC Pineapple
My Pineapple is 11 months old now and as I was watching him eat, I noticed something I never saw before.
He was actually grabbing food, from his bowl, with his foot and feeding himself. Not the usual food grab with the beak and THEN hold with his foot but standing on his perch and reaching in his bowl with his foot, grabbing food and then feeding himself.

Is this common?

I read somewhere that most parrots are "lefties". My two blue crowns certainly are. Though my senegal bucks that trend and eats with his right foot.

Mine will grab a foot full of seed and throw it on the ground, looking for her fave seeds.
She will also when her cage is open, go in grab a seed, then go sit on the roof of her cage eat it then repeat.

Yellow Shoulder Amazon, Salty
Salty seems ambidextrous when it comes to eating. But he prefers his left hand when we do the 'Flip" trick, and he will pick up his left foot when he sings along with the piano. So I would say he is truly a left handed North paw, or a right handed Southpaw.

It's completely normal behavior, amusing to watch. Enjoy doing so!
