Entirely unfamiliar with what to do!

Recently I had to seperate my budgies.

Blue likes to pick on Daffy and has been doing quite a bit of damage lately.

Only problem is.. now that they are seperated... all they do is try to escape the two cages and get to each other.

Should I move one of the cages out of the room in order to get them used to having their own cages?

I just hate to see them so forlorn calling each other every few seconds.. meh.

I've never had a bonded pair of birds before with this problem.

If possible, I would recommend keeping the cages next to each other rather than separated.

If you do separate them via eyesight, then they will call back and forth to each other. It may cause increase agitation as well.

They are currently next to each other and I'll keep them that way then. Thanks for all the help Monica, most questions I've asked on this forum have been answered by you; and in each case were extremely helpful ^^

Well that was easier to fix.

I switched the birds cages around.

Now Daffy is in Blue's cage and visa Versa... and they seem much happier.

Should have remembered that Daffy doesn't care where he is... and Blue is a very habitual bird. So... nothing wrong with switching things around is there?

LOL!!!! Nah, I don't think most birds care what cage they are in as long as they are comfortable inside it! And budgies are well known for trespassing into other birds cages!!! :D

Sometimes it takes being creative to make things work! :) And I'm glad to help where I can!

I always seem to get the odd birds.

At least this past year.... Blue is my crazy Trekker I like living in a box bird.

Being a hen that could very well account for her behavior! LOL

Her aggressive behavior as well as her inclination towards boxes!

True enough.

For now both are happy content and have stopped being bottom of the cage dwellers.

No longer stressed budgies are much happier budgies.

Which means I'm a happier me.
